Balloons can be funny!

We had some balloons left over from my birthday, and some of them had fallen to the floor. Brittany was playing with them and ended up rubbing her hand across it...making the "screetching" sound we all so love. This sound made Michael just laugh. This is a video of Michael touching the balloon and making the "screetching" sound; he thinks it's pretty funny.

I have also included some pictures of the kids; they are doing great! Michael is rolling everywhere; i'll have him with me in the office on the floor. It never fails that he rolls over to me and wants me to pick him up (he loves to hit the keyboard). He's also cutting a tooth. Brittany is saying more words and is trying to walk.

We bought a small pool for the backyard, and Brittany just loves it! She saw her suit hanging up and carried it around hoping I would take her into the pool. The truck Brittany received for her birthday wasn't too much of a success for her, but Michael loves it! It's almost as big as he is, but he loves to play with the wheels.

It's Her Birthday!

This past weekend, we headed down to OC so we could celebrate Brittany's 1st birthday with Grandad and Grammy. These are a few pictures from her birthday party! For her gifts, she received a red ball (which was a hit), a truck (not too much of a hit), a walker (she just loves it) and a water play park (which she loves). I have also included a very short video clip of Brittany with the walker; she just thinks she's big stuff now!

Yesterday, both Michael and Brittany had doctor appointments with shots (3 each)! Brittany for her year and Michael for his 6-mo checkup. I will never take them both for their shots on the same day again without any help! My hats are off to my friends (Brandy and Marji) who both have twins. They are both healthy little babies; Brittany's height is in the 20th percentile and Michael is 50 for both height and weight. Brittany is only 1 3/4 inch taller than Michael!

Sense of Humor is a Must!

I found this to be true in every aspect of my life and every situation (single, married, childlessness, children, so forth). If we can laugh at ourselves and at our situations, it sure makes life easier (and a lot more fun). I never want to be remembered as a cranky person or someone who takes life too seriously. As I was looking for pictures to include here, I could not find ones with all of us in it (that I had not already posted). So, I've included one with Brittany and myself at Disneyland and Michael smiling.

Fun Pictures

I just had to post the following pictures of Brittany and Michael. These are pictures of Brittany playing with some tuperware she took from the cabinet. She has decided that placing the bowls on her head is a lot more fun than stacking them. The picture of Michael is one of his favorite things to do now...suck on his big toe!

Watch the Bouncing Ball

This is Brittany laughing (very hard) while I bounce the ball. For some reason, she thought this was hysterical! I am trying to bounce the ball and take the video so that's why the video is a little choppy.
