One Last Beach Trip

We took one last trip down to OC last weekend to visit Tyler (who just returned from his mission) before Brittany starts school.  Plus, the kids were so excited to see some of their cousins, especially Tyler.  As Michael said, "Missions are a very long time."  It was a quick trip, but it was fun to see everyone!

Catching Up--Preschool Grad

Yes, Brittany's preschool had a graduation.  The graduation was used to show the parents what the children learn throughout the year.  The children walked into the room wearing their cap and gowns, they performed several songs/dances and they received their diplomas.  Mrs. Salphy did a lot of work with the children.  Funny thing is that Brittany doesn't like to perform when we are around, so we pretended to drop her off.  Then we came back into the room (Michael loved this part) and sat way in the back!

Lucky, lucky, girl!  The Wednesday before Brittany's birthday, Sally & Noel came for a quick (very quick) visit in order to celebrate her birthday.  This is a picture of her with one of their gifts -- her favorite -- pom poms!  She had the time of her life pretending she was a cheerleader!

 On Brittany's actual birthday, she had a swim party (at a friend's house).  July is usually very hot here, so we thought it would be a lot of fun.  The weather was a little weird (we actually had rain drops that day -- what's up with that?!), but the kids had a great time anyway.

The cake!  Brittany picked out her own cake.  Now, I know this is a surprise...she picked out a Princess cake!  I think she wanted the crown and wand more than the cake though.

Brittany and Michael's cousins sent these glasses to the kids in prep for Summer!  They love them!  Michael even took them to church to show his buddies.

Thanks to the Mathesons, our kids are cool and ready for the sun!

Looking for an Egg Hunt

Whoever said egg hunts are only for toddlers?  Brittany & Michael's older cousins had as much fun (and we just as competitive) and the younger ones!  Here's Erin reviewing her loot!

Coloring Eggs

While we were down in OC, Lynn and her family visited.  So, all of the cousins colored eggs and we had an egg hunt too!  Brittany loves to color and paint.  She was certainly in her realm here.

The Easter Bunny Came!

Yes, the Easter Bunny came for a visit.  The kids were so excited!  I couldn't get to the camera fast enough (they were faster) to catch a picture of them when they first discovered their baskets.
